The autumn is the perfect time to climb in Boulder, Colorado and the Flatirons offer some of Boulder’s best climbing adventures. The First Flatiron consists of 1000 feet of high quality climbing and provides great views of the city below. The rock is solid with moderate routes, making for a great day. The Third Flatiron is touted as the best beginner’s route in North America. It rises abruptly into the sky and challenges climbers with 1300 feet of high quality rock. Three rappels drop you behind the Flatirons into what can be described as an enchanted forest before descending back to Chautauqua Park, another of Boulder’s most popular spots.
