Zach grew up in rural Pennsylvania, canoeing  and backpacking among the East coast high peaks. After discovering climbing in college, he moved to Lander, WY where he began teaching climbing and mountaineering for the National Outdoor Leadership School. A decade later Zach is hooked on the mountains and works in the outdoor industry year-round as an educator and guide. A life-long learner who finds true joy in sharing experiences with others, he feels that what we do outdoors is really about the people we are doing it with.
