Thomas got his start climbing and guiding on the crags of Tennessee and North Carolina before heading west in search of bigger walls, deeper snow, and higher peaks. His career in the mountains has taken him from teaching adaptive skiing in Telluride to guiding climbing and mountaineering trips across the country. Now based in Jackson, he splits his time between ski instruction, guiding, and continuing his own progression in the mountains.
