Jeff joined the Exum Guide family in 2016, bringing with him professional guiding experience from the mountains of Colorado, Washington, and Alaska. Based in the Tetons and leading trips all over the country and the world, he stays busy backcountry skiing all winter and climbing all summer. His skiing achievements include descents of the Grand Teton, Middle Teton, South Teton, Mt Moran, Mt. Rainier, many Colorado 14ers, and peaks in the High Sierra, Canada, Alaska, and Norway. Climbing has taken Jeff to many high peaks of the Tetons and around the country, including climbing trips to Yosemite, Mt. Whitney, Mt. Rainier, Nevada’s Red Rocks, Washington’s Cascades, the localities of Boulder, Colorado and Moab, Utah, and even an international mountaineering trip to the Cordillera Blanca in Peru. He has guided 4 expeditions on Denali.
Jeff’s passion and appreciation for the mountains is obvious to everyone who meets him. He can usually be found wearing a big grin, laughing out loud and relating a recent tale of alpine adventure or getting overly excited about routes to climb or ski in the future.
On the rare day that he’s not in the mountains, Jeff enjoys cooking good food, playing the drums, and reading.
