Exum Guide Mark Givens and Climbing Partner, Joel Kauffman Develop a New Route
In early September Exum Guide Mark Givens and his climbing partner, Joel Kauffman developed a new moderate route in Death Canyon. Death Canyon is a spectacular canyon in Grand Teton National Park and their new route, The Alien Wall (IV, 5.10-) is the first new multi-pitch free route on the south side of the canyon in over 20 years.
