Colin grew up climbing on the sandstone of southeastern Kentucky and skiing the small icy hills of southern Indiana and got his first taste of real mountains in southwestern Montana at the age of 9. Since then, a love of the mountains has taken him to crags, walls, and ranges around the continental US and Alaska, Europe, and South America. Colin is passionate about technical mountain travel of all kinds and is equally at home climbing a splitter crack as skiing a couloir. He is an educator at heart and his calling is helping others reach their goals in the mountains. He is trained in the Rock, Alpine, and Ski disciplines and is in the process of completing his IFMGA certification through the AMGA.
