Growing up in Golden Colorado Andy started skiing, climbing, and exploring in mountains at a young age. Since graduating from Colorado College in 2001 with a degree in Geology Andy has worked almost exclusively in the mountains.
He has spent the last decade working in Outdoor Education, Guiding, and climbing, skiing on his own. He has worked for NOLS around the world (the Indian Himalaya, Patagonia, Alaska, the Yukon, the Northwest, Waddington Range and extensively in the Rocky Mountains). He has guided both the West Buttress and the Muldrow routes on Denali, and worked and climbed throughout the Alaska Range. He began working for Exum in 2008.
He has rock climbed extensively throughout the desert southwest, the Rocky Mountains, and the Sierra.
