Alan is an IFMGA certified guide, he has been on over 30 expeditions and has been guiding since 2008. Helping people progress their mountain skill set has kept Alan deeply engaged in guiding. In addition to his work in the Tetons he has guided committing technical objectives around the world.Other than guiding, Alan spends a lot of time on his personal climbing goals in the Himalayas and Alaska Range. In 2020 he was awarded the prestigious ‘Piolet D’or’ for a new route on Tengi Ragi Tau in Nepal. The past couple years Alan has focused on large single push climbs in the Alaska Range.
