If you are new to climbing and would like to get a taste, Exum’s Discover Climbing is a 9:00 am-3:00 pm introduction to mountaineering.
Discover Climbing introduces participants to the fun and thrill of outdoor climbing on natural rock. After a safety talk and getting outfitted with helmets, harnesses, and sticky rubber shoes*, your group and the guide will take a boat ride across scenic Jenny Lake.
On the other side, you’ll get to test out your shoes on a variety of boulder problems, and then will head to the climbing area to do one easy multi-pitch climb, or a top rope climb, depending on the ability of the group. This class typically does not cover rappelling.
If you would like to have a climbing adventure that is tailored to your needs and/or previous experience, the Custom Climbing day will be a better fit. If you have kids under the age of 14, check out our Family Climbing Day.
A minimum of 3 participants is required to run this course.
