The EXUM Ice Park

Unfortunately the land where the Ice Park was located at Snow King has been sold and we cannot operate the Ice Park this winter.

Please check back next autumn to see if we’ve found a new home for the Ice Park!

GROUP LESSONS – $75 per person

Sunday mornings — 9:00 – 11:30 and Wednesday evenings — 4:30 – 7:00 (2 participant minimum). – Advance reservations required. Join a group and learn basic ice climbing techniques – stay for open climbing following the class! All equipment included.

OPEN CLIMBING – $20 per person if you have your own equipment or $25 per person if you use our equipment

Sundays — noon to 4:00
Mondays — 4:00 – 8:00
Wednesdays — 4:00 – 8:00


All climbers must pass a skills assessment with the guide on site, and must fill out a Registration Form and two Acknowledgement of Risk/Release of Liability forms.


Half Day Lessons (3 hours) – Advance reservations required.

  • 1 climber –  $275
  • 2 climbers –  $180 each
  • 3 climbers –  $155 each
  • 4 or more climbers –  $125 each

Full Day Lessons for Individuals or Private Groups – Advance reservations required.

  • 1 climber – $375
  • 2 climbers –  $275 each
  • 3 climbers –  $250 each
  • 4 climbers –  $225 each
  • 5 or more climbers –  $200 each

THE PRICES LISTED ABOVE ARE FOR ONE GUIDE WITH THE GROUP. IF MULTIPLE GUIDES ARE REQUESTED, THE RATE WILL BE BASED ON THE NUMBER OF CLIMBERS WITH EACH GUIDE (for example, the half day rate for 6 climbers with 2 guides is $155 each). Prices include technical equipment.


Climbing Helmet (must be approved for climbing) – climbers can bring their own or Exum will supply. Helmets must be worn at all times – while climbing and when you are anywhere near the base of the ice.


Ice climbing boots or your ski boots (we only have one size run of boots)
Eye protection – ski goggles or sun glasses
Several warm synthetic layers
Waterproof or soft-shell jacket and pants
A down coat or vest is great to have
Warm mittens and gloves, 2 pairs if possible. Nice to have a thinner pair for climbing, thicker for warming up between climbs.
Thick wool or synthetic socks
Snacks and water
Thermos of hot chocolate
Climbing harness if you have one


Follow the Snow King Loop Road from below the Snow King Hotel parking lot. Keep bearing right until you are forced to go left. You will see the trailer and you can park in the lot by the trailer. Check to see if a guide is in the trailer before you go up to the ice.

Take the Town Shuttle (START bus) from anywhere in Jackson to Snow King Resort, then walk past the Rafferty Chair Lift to the Teton Ice Park.
