Eldorado and The Flatirons

Eldorado Canyon is one of the most spectacular climbing areas in North America, and the historical hub of hard rock routes in Colorado. Located fifteen minutes south of Boulder and within an easy hour drive from Denver, Eldorado (or “Eldo” as it is called by the cognoscenti), offers over 600 routes for climbers of every level of ability, from short, easy climbs on the Wind Tower to severe test pieces that will challenge the hard-core rock star. The main wall, Tower Two, raises 800 feet above South Boulder Creek and faces south. Even during spring and fall, Eldorado tends to be warm, and on pleasant days in winter resident climbers will be found on the major routes.
