Steve has climbed and guided extensively in Wyoming, Colorado, California, Utah, Nevada and Alaska. His rock climbing experience includes over 50 ascents of the infamous Diamond on Longs Peak in Colorado. Internationally, he has led several trips to Mexico and Ecuador and he has climbed in France, Italy and Switzerland.
He is AMGA certified in the Rock and Alpine disciplines and is en route to his goal of gaining IFMGA certification.
Steve started climbing in 1992 and guiding in 1996. Known as a “gentle giant” Steve’s upbeat personality and keen sense of humor make him a favorite among clients. He graduated with honors from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy, and started an in-patient massage therapy program at Boulder Community Hospital for which he received an award recognizing his outstanding community service.
When Steve is not guiding, he is spending most of his time in the mountains working on his personal climbing goals. Some of his other hobbies include golf, fishing, and all water sports.
