Melis Coady, 39, lives in Talkeetna, Alaska. A senior guide in Alaska she has spent the last fifteen years guiding ascents on Denali, Mt. Foraker, Vinson, and various peaks. An avid climber she has completed personal expeditions in lesser known regions on 6 of 7 continents, including in Kyrgyzstan and Kamchatka. A believer in self-sufficiency and safety, Melis is a wilderness EMT, a rescue climbing ranger in Denali park, and travels the globe teaching wilderness medicine classes: http://alaskawildmed.blogspot.com. This will be Melis’ first season working for Exum. She is looking forward to stepping off the snow this year to enjoy the sunny Tetons.
