The process involves extensive guide training and exams through the American Mountain Guides Association in rock, alpine and ski mountaineering disciplines and is internationally recognized as the highest standard in guiding.
Her mountain endeavors include extensive climbing and skiing throughout the U.S., Alaska, Canada, Mexico, Europe, the Andes, Karakoram and Himalaya. Angela has scaled big walls in Yosemite, Zion and Pakistan, ski traversed across Lapland in Scandinavia, reached the South Summit of Mt. Everest (28,875’) and remote technical summits in Patagonia. She’s guided over 20 high altitude expeditions around the world, including four of the Seven Summits; Carstensz Pyramid, Aconcagua, Everest and 5 expeditions to Denali. Angela led an all-women’s ascent of Ama Dablam in the Everest Region that raised 23K for the dZi Foundation to start a school for young girls, led an all-gay ascent of Island Peak, also in the Khumbu Valley and organized and led extensive clean-ups on her Everest and Aconcagua expeditions.
