Early Season on the Grand Teton – continued

We are still climbing the Grand Teton in early season conditions which means that climbers must be prepared for snow. Boots, crampons, and an extra layer or two are required, and an adventurous spirit is helpful. Trevor Clark, Adam Stanek and Chris Marquis reached the summit with guides Ben Gilmore and Mike Poborsky. These three friends just finished training and are preparing for their first Coast Guard deployment in Alaska.

A warm wind today is melting the snow quickly. We expect to be climbing in approach shoes and identifying the flowers along the trail before long.
